San Diego County Sheriff's Department: BNSF Train Vs. Pedestrian Collision - Oceanside

On 07/17/2021, at approximately 2159 hours, a BNSF train was traveling southbound near the location where the train tracks cross Oceanside Boulevard in the city of Oceanside, county of San Diego.  As the train crossed the intersection with Oceanside Boulevard, the train struck a pedestrian.  The pedestrian involved in the collision was deceased upon the arrival of law enforcement.  Deputies are investigating the incident and manner of death will be determined by the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.
