The Medical Examiner's Office conducted the autopsies today of the two men shot on Diamondback Drive on January 21, 2022.

The Medical Examiner's Office identified the man found in the garage as thirty-six-year-old Wesley Aaron Devault. Devault is a resident of the city of San Diego. The victim's family has been notified of his death. The preliminary cause of Devault's death was multiple gunshot wounds and the manner of death is homicide.
The Medical Examiner's Office identified the man found in the vehicle as forty-two-year-old Daniel Wayne Isaac. Isaac resided on Diamondback Drive and his family has been notified of his death. The preliminary cause of Isaac's death was gunshot wound and the manner of death is suicide.

Homicide detectives continued their investigation and identified Isaac as the suspect in the murder of Devault. Devault and Isaac are acquainted. Further circumstances and motivations are under investigation.
