These Calif. Theaters To Offer $1 Movies For Kids This Summer

Need cheap summer entertainment? Regal locations in California will be offering $1 movies as part of their annual Summer Movie Express.

California movie theaters will again be offering $1 movies this summer as part of Regal's annual Summer Movie Express series. Tickets to all the movies in the nine-week series are $1. Movies will be screened Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10 a.m. June through August.

The Summer Movie Express series begins with a 10 a.m. screening of "Kung Fu Panda 3" and "Ice Age: Collision Course." Both movies will be screened again the next Summer Movie Express day.

Other $1 films to be screened include Trolls, Rio 2, The Boxtrolls, Storks, Sing and more. (Full schedule here).

"The Summer Movie Express is known for delivering top notch moviegoing experiences by showing family friendly movies at a great value," said Ken Thewes, chief marketing officer at Regal Entertainment Group. "This summertime tradition is about creating memories for kids and parents as they enjoy these movies together, which is one of the best things we can offer at Regal."

A portion of the admission fee for the nine-week film series goes to assist the Will Rogers Institute.
