1 Person Killed Near Isabel Avenue Exit Sunday: Reports

LIVERMORE, CA - The California Highway Patrol is investigating a death reported Sunday night near the Isabel Avenue exit of I-580.

CHP officers found two people down in the roadway at around 9:20 p.m., according to Bay City News. CHP had also received a report of an Uber driver being assaulted by his passengers.

The passengers got out of the Uber while the driver continued onto Isabel Avenue, Caltrans told BCN.

The two people were hit after they got out of the car, and one died. It is unknown whether they were hit by another car or by the Uber vehicle.

Authorities have not given the name of the deceased as of Monday.
