100-Acre Altamont Pass Fire Sparked By Car Fire

The fire burned Wednesday night and involved the response of five public safety agencies, Alameda County Fire said.

LIVERMORE VALLEY, CA — A car fire is thought to have sparked a 100-acre fire Wednesday night in the area of Altamont Pass, Alameda County Fire Department said.

There were no injuries reported.

Firefighters from Alameda County Fire, Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department and Cal Fire fought the blaze in the dark. The California Highway Patrol and Alameda County Sheriff's Office also aided in the response.
