$10M 3D Printing Center Opens At Lawrence Livermore National Lab

The 14,000-square-foot Advanced Manufacturing Lab features different kinds of 3D printing technology, ABC7 reported.

LIVERMORE, CA — The Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory has opened its $10 million Advanced Manufacturing Lab of 3D printers, ABC7 reported. The 14,000-square-foot lab will allow LLNL staff to partner with private businesses to develop technology.

The move is expected to save money on research and development, the station reported.

The lab features 3D printers that create solid objects inside liquid vials, and seek to turn greenhouse gases into fuels.
