130 Workers To Lose Jobs At Livermore Comcast

Employees of the Comcast logistics center of Livermore are expected to lose their jobs, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

LIVERMORE, CA — The Livermore-based Comcast Technician Logistics Center told the state it expects to lay off 127 workers as the company reorganizes and moves some roles to Denver, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

The changes are expected to take effect by May 1, Comcast wrote in a report to the California Employment Development Department, the paper reported.

Comcast told the Chronicle that Livermore would remain its California headquarters, but the company is automating some processes, and consolidating jobs and locations.

The company said it would work with employees to find other jobs in-house, or provide severance and help them find a job elsewhere, the paper reported.
