18-Wheeler Catches Fire On I-580, Causes Grass Fire Near Livermore
The fire broke out early Friday morning after a truck caught fire on westbound I-580.

LIVERMORE, CA — An 18-wheeler caught fire on westbound I-580 east of Flynn and Grant Line Road, leading to a vegetation fire early Friday morning, according to authorities.
The fire broke out before 5:51 a.m., prompting a response from the Alameda County Fire Department and Cal Fire.
Crews stopped forward progress of the fire, though the westbound lanes of I-580 were closed for several hours, according to the California Highway Patrol.
