2 Suspects Arrested In Connection With Livermore Shooting: LPD

LIVERMORE, CA - Livermore police arrested two suspects in connection with a shooting that took place Jan. 6 near the intersection of Broadmoor Street and Scenic Avenue.

On Thursday, Jan. 19, Livermore police arrested Alejandro Quintero-Avalos, a 20-year-old from Tracy, and Brenda Gaspar-Sanchez, a 21-year-old from Livermore, on charges of shooting into an inhabited dwelling. Police allege that Gaspar-Sanchez drove Quinero-Avalos to fire several shots into a Livermore home with several people inside.

On Jan. 6 just before 9 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting in the area. When officers arrived, they found shell casings, but no injured victims. The LPD’s Criminal Investigations Bureau determined that suspects had fired several shots into a residence. One bullet hit a parked car, and two other bullets hit the garage door.

The motive remains under investigation, though police say the suspects knew a resident of the home. Several search warrants were issued in Livermore and Tracy, and police recovered the gun used in the crime.

The shooting was the second in two days. On Jan. 5 at around 2:40 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting at Enos Way and Junction Avenue. Officers found a victim who had been grazed by a bullet. The suspects ran away before police arrived, according to the Livermore Police Department.

Authorities believe the victim was shot following a verbal confrontation.
