20-Year-Old Livermore Man Killed In Motorcycle Accident: Reports
The coroner's office has confirmed that Hamza Salih was killed Wednesday afternoon in an accident on 580.
LIVERMORE, CA — A 20-year-old from Livermore was killed in a motorcycle Wednesday along I-580 in Oakland, the California HIghway Patrol and Alameda County coroner’s bureau have confirmed.
The coroner’s office confirmed Wednesday that Hamza Salih, 20, was killed Wednesday afternoon. Salih was riding west on Highway 580 between 98th and 106th avenues when he lost control of the bike and crashed into a metal guardrail, CHP spokesperson Adib Zeid told Bay City News. Salih was traveling westbound, but was ejected into the eastbound lane, where a vehicle hit him, Zeid said.
Officers arrived at around 4:10 p.m. Wednesday to find Salih’s body lying in the left lane of eastbound 580, according to the Mercury News. Salih was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lanes were blocked on 580 in both directions for about the next two hours.
No signs of alcohol or drugs were found, authorities told The Mercury News.
