3-Alarm Fire Destroys 3 Vacant Buildings In Livermore

LIVERMORE, CA — A three-alarm fire destroyed three vacant buildings in Livermore Sunday evening, according to the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department. The fire also damaged The Charming Fig restaurant, which is closed as of Monday.

LPFD crews responded to a fire at the intersection of Holmes Street and Concannon Boulevard at 5:13 pm Sunday, Chief Joe Testa told Patch. Three buildings were completely destroyed before crews contained the fire. Holmes and Concannon were both closed until about 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

Two firefighters reported minor injuries, and were treated and released by medical personnel, Testa said.

The cause of the fire remains unknown. LPFD and the Livermore Police Department are working together to investigate. According to the Livermore Police Department, the area near the site of the fire has seen seven calls for service in the last month, including a commercial burglary, welfare check, graffiti complaint, security check, and three calls for un-housed individuals complaints.

Cleanup continued into Monday.
