7 Livermore Juveniles Arrested In Connection With Stabbing: LPD

LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore police arrested seven juvenile suspects accused of stabbing a 14-year-old last month.

On Saturday, May 13, Livermore police responded to reports of a fight among several people at the soccer fields at Livermore Downs Park, according to a social media post from the Livermore Police Department. Arriving officers found a 14-year-old boy from Livermore with a stab wound. The boy was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but has since been released, police said.

Investigators believe the boy was stabbed by seven different suspects. After collecting evidence and obtaining witness statements, detectives identified the seven suspects as boys ranging in age from 15 to 17 years old. Police say all suspects have ties to Livermore, and believe the fight was gang-related.

In late May, all seven juveniles were arrested and charged with a number of crimes, including attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon causing great bodily injury. The suspects are being held at Alameda County Juvenile Hall.

Police have turned the case over to the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office.
