Alameda County plans to soon launch its Great Plates Delivered program to support older adults in need and local food businesses.
ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — Alameda County plans to soon announce its Great Plates Delivered program to provide seniors and high-risk older adults with three nutritious meals per day from local food businesses.
The program aims to support struggling businesses while encouraging at-risk adults to stay home, the county said.
The county is seeking vendors interested in preparing meals, and collecting contact information of people who would be interested in receiving meals. Seniors and adults who are at least 60 years old and at high-risk from COVID-19 are eligible.
