Alameda County Supe Giving Away Free Air Masks
The masks will be handed out in Livermore and Fremont.

LIVERMORE, CA — Alameda County Supervisor Scott Haggerty’s office will be handing out free air masks in Livermore and Fremont Monday. Haggerty says he is teaming up with the Bay Area Air District to distribute the masks to East Bay residents.
In Fremont, the masks will be handed out between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the McDonald’s located at 38860 Fremont Boulevard. In Livermore, residents may stop by the Lizzy Fountain, located on the corner of S. Livermore Avenue and First Street, between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
As wildfires continue to devastate the state, smoke is expected to continue to impact the Bay Area "through at least early this week with dry conditions and light offshore winds," the National Weather Service says.

In the meantime, smoke from the Camp Fire in Butte County continues to cause unhealthy air quality in the Bay Area and the haze is expected to linger through Tuesday, air quality officials said. The hazardous smoke has created unhealthy conditions for much of the region over the past few days.
