All Fireworks Prohibited In Livermore: Police
Police said those who violate the law can face fines and jail.
LIVERMORE, CA — Fireworks are illegal in Livermore and those who choose to ignore the law could be fined and even go to jail, police officials said. Extra officers will work on fourth of July to help enforce the zero tolerance ordinance, which includes the “Safe and Sane” fireworks sold in nearby Dublin.
“Any member of the Police Department or the Fire Department can seize any fireworks located in Livermore and the owner may be charged for the cost of destroying the fireworks,” police said in a statement.
Residents are encouraged to watch fourth of July fireworks and to visit the annual Downtown 4th of July Red, White and Boom Fireworks Celebration in Livermore. The block party-style celebration starts at 4 p.m. The fireworks display, which will be launched off of the parking garage on Railroad Avenue, will start at 9:20 p.m.
