Tesla Road Stabbing Victim Crawled On Stomach For Help: ACSO
Alameda County Sheriff's Office officials said two suspects were arrested in connection with the woman's death.
ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — A 19-year-old Tracy woman who died after she was beaten and brutally stabbed multiple times was likely dumped and "left for dead" in eastern Alameda County near Livermore early Monday morning, sheriff’s officials said. The woman, who was so badly injured that she crawled about 100 yards on her stomach in the cold and dark in an effort to find help, was spotted by a passing motorist on Tesla Road about two miles west of the Carnegie State Vehicular Recreation Area at about 2 a.m.
The driver who found the injured woman called 911. The California Highway Patrol and Alameda County Fire Department crews responded and after seeing that the woman’s injuries were due to an attack and not a collision, they called the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim was airlifted to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley, where she was pronounced dead at 4:30 a.m., according to Alameda County sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Ray Kelly.

Before she died, the woman was able to give what Kelly described as "a very compelling dying declaration" about who stabbed her. That information led them to arrest a 19-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman in Modesto as suspects in her death, Kelly said. The suspects are being transported to Alameda County, he said.
Investigators haven't yet determined at what location the victim was stabbed, according to Kelly.
The Alameda County Sheriff's Office has launched a homicide investigation and the California Highway Patrol closed a portion of Tesla Road between Interstate 580 near Tracy and Reuss Road near Livermore most of the day for the investigation. The victim's name has not yet been released.
