LIVERMORE, CA — The Livermore Police Department is hosting a drive-thru prescription drug takeback day at their headquarters on April 25 from 10-2.
The event is part of a national effort spearheaded by the Drug Enforcement Administration to provide a safe, convenient and responsible way for the public to remove unneeded medications from their homes to prevent misuse and possible addiction, and learn more about drug abuse risks.
Residents can bring unused or expired medication for safe disposal to 1110 S. Livermore Avenue. Only prescription drugs, tablets, capsules, and other solid forms of prescription drugs will be accepted. Intravenous solutions, injectables, and syringes will not.
