Livermore K9 Helps Find Meth, Fentanyl

LIVERMORE, CA — A traffic stop in Livermore earlier this week led to the arrest of a 38-year-old man after police said officers found methamphetamine and fentanyl in a vehicle near First Street and Interstate 580.

According to the Livermore Police Department, officers stopped a vehicle near First Street and I-580. Police reported that K9 Drake alerted to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle, which led to a probable cause search.

During that search, officers located about 10 grams of methamphetamine packaged for sale and 1.5 grams of fentanyl, according to police. The department identified the arrested man as Philip Pacheco, 38.

Pacheco was arrested on multiple charges, including possession for sale and transportation of methamphetamine, as well as possession of a controlled substance.
