The Clean California Community Designation Program was launched in 2021 by Caltrans as part of the $1.2 billion Clean California initiative with the goal of cleaning, reclaiming, transforming, and beautifying public spaces statewide.

“Livermore’s strong sense of community pride and environmental stewardship is evident in the care we take to keep our city clean and welcoming,” said Mayor John Marchand. “We are proud to be recognized by Clean California, and this accomplishment was made possible through the dedicated work of our staff, along with the support of our residents, volunteers, and community partners. We are proud to celebrate this achievement together.”

The Livermore community is encouraged to take part in the city's Community Service Day in September. See here to sign up when projects are listed .
