LIVERMORE, CA — An elderly woman’s necklace was stolen at a Livermore park, according to the Livermore Police Department.
On June 27, a woman at Tex Spruiell Park was approached by a woman she described as 50 to 60 years old, according to police. The suspect reportedly offered her a necklace, and placed it around her neck. A short time later, the woman realized that her own gold necklace, valued at thousands of dollars, had been stolen.
The suspect was last seen leaving the area in a white SUV, and remains at-large.
Livermore police advised the community to never accept jewelry or other items from strangers, and report anyone who attempts to do so. The community is also advised to report suspicious loitering in parks and parking lots, and stay aware of surroundings, especially when approached by someone you don’t know.
