Deadline Approaching To Run For Livermore City Council Or School Board

Here's which seats are up for re-election, and how to run.

LIVERMORE, CA — Livermore residents interested in running for the city council of the LVJUSD Board of Trustees have until Aug. 7 to file papers.

On the council, seats are available for the mayor (at-large), District 1 (northwest of the city), and District 2 (northeast of the city.) See here to search your district by address. Seats are open for anyone 18 or older who either lives in Livermore, or in the district they hope to represent. To file, contact the Livermore City Clerk at 925-960-4200 or cityclerk@livermoreca.gov to schedule an appointment to receive your nomination packet.

If an incumbent for the seat does not file by Aug. 7, the deadline is extended to Aug. 12.

Three seats are also available for the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District Board of Trustees: Area 2 (downtown), Area 3 (north Livermore), and area 5 (south Livermore.) See here for a map. Candidates can make an appointment to get papers with the Alameda County Registrar of Voters by contacting 510-272-6960 or candidate.services@acgov.org.
