12K Cigarettes Stolen From Livermore Business: Police

LIVERMORE, CA — Three people were accused of stealing approximately 12,00 cigarettes from a Livermore business last week, according to the Livermore Police Department.

On Aug. 22 at around 3:15 p.m., Livermore police responded to the theft of approximately 12,000 cigarettes from a business on Old First Street. 12,000 cigarettes is equivalent to roughly 600 packs, and 60 cartons.

Officers located the suspect vehicle traveling westbound on I-580 and coordinated with CHP to stop it near 164th Avenue, police said. Three occupants - a 24-year-old, 23-year-old, and 20-year-old, all of Oakland - were arrested on suspicion of grand theft and conspiracy to commit a crime.
