• 52-Year-Old Man Killed In Downtown Livermore Motorcycle Crash (patch.com) — A 52-year-old motorcyclist died after a Friday night collision with a pickup at First Street and South P Street in downtown Livermore, according to police. The driver stayed at the scene as investigators work to determine the cause. Authorities note at least six motorcycle fatalities in the Livermore area since 2025, underscoring ongoing safety concerns for local riders.
• More than 300 acres of Tri-Valley land protected as open space (livermorevine.com) — Livermore has finalized conservation easements protecting 331 acres in Doolan Canyon and the Springtown Preserve, creating a nearly 1,500-acre wildlife corridor and safeguarding sensitive habitats in North Livermore. Approved by the Livermore City Council and funded by a developer, the deal advances the city's long-standing open-space goals and could eventually support new public trail access into Doolan Canyon.
• Pleasanton Preps: Foothill honors volleyball coach Collins on milestone (livermorevine.com) — Local prep sports fans will see Amador Valley's girls flag football team host the EBAL tournament, with Livermore's squad entering as the No. 4 seed after a September loss to the Dons.
