Areal Flood Watch Issued In Livermore; Streets, Parks Closed
Here's what to know as a second atmospheric river roils Livermore.

LIVERMORE, CA - Livermore and the rest of the Tri-Valley are under an Areal Flood Warning until 10:45 p.m. Wednesday as winds gust up to 48 mph and heavy rain pounds the city. The city will remain under a less severe Areal Flood Watch until 4 p.m. Thursday, and a High Wind Warning until 4 p.m. Thursday. Sustained winds of 30 mph are expected throughout the night.
Rains are expected to subside Friday, then resume for at least another week and a half.
Wednesday started with a tree falling down at North P and Chestnut streets. Starting at around 8:40 a..m., 114 people lost power in downtown Livermore, followed by 1,907 people near Pleasanton Sports Park. Power was restored in both areas by about noon. Power outage maps can be viewed here.

During the storm, residents are advised to avoid any travel if possible. If a street is flooded, turn around and do not attempt to drive through it. Residents are also advised to stay away from creeks, arroyos, and nearby trails.
Sycamore Grove Park and the Arroyo Mocho Trail from Robertson Park to Stanley Boulevard are closed. All East Bay Regional Parks are closed Wednesday and Thursday. See here for a full list of closures.

Sandbags are available at the following locations, though it is best to call each place to see if supplies are still available.
- Maintenance Service Center - 3500 Robertson Park Road (limit 6 bags per household)
- Fire Station 6 - 4550 East Avenue (limit 6 bags per household)
- Fire Station 8 - 5750 Scenic Avenue (limit 6 bags per household)
- Zone 7 Water Agency - 100 North Canyons Parkway (limit 10 bags per household)
Report flooding to Water Resources at 925-960-8160, or the Livermore Police Department at 925-371-4987. Downed trees and power lines can also be reported to the police department, or to 911.
