Armed Burglars Rob Livermore Dispensary: Sheriff

LIVERMORE, CA — Approximately nine armed suspects robbed a cannabis dispensary in unincorporated Livermore on May 22, the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.

On May 22 at around 3:30 a.m., approximately nine armed suspects, dressed in dark clothing and masks and armed with roughly three assault weapons and burglary tools, broke into the Garden of Eden at 7000 Tesla Road, ACSO spokesperson Lt. Tya Modeste told Patch. The suspects took cannabis products worth $7,600 including resin, cannabutter, powder, and more.

Investigators have not heard any reference to stolen cash, Modeste said.

No suspects have been named, and the investigation remains active.

Eden Enterprises, which also runs a dispensary in Hayward and delivery services throughout the East Bay, said in a statement that while the store was the sight of "extensive vandalism," no one was hurt and business continued mostly as normal the following day.

"Due to the response of the Alameda County’s Sheriff’s Department and our robust product storage and safety program, minimal product loss occurred and no persons were on site or injured," read a statement shared with Patch by Director of Compliance Zoe Schreiber.

"Interruptions to business operations were minimal with operations commencing in the afternoon on the same day after law enforcement’s initial investigation was complete. We are thankful for our staff who volunteered to come in to work the same day after an increased security presence. Garden of Eden's staff have been included in safety improvement buy-ins and training."

The Livermore dispensary opened in October near the Darcie Kent Vineyards property.
