Arroyo Seco Teacher Receives Gold Award from California Teachers Association

The veteran teacher has been in the classroom for 24 years.

Livermore teacher Lisa Wilson has been awarded the 2015 California Teachers Association Gold Award for Outstanding Educator.

She has been teaching for 24 years and has been teaching at Arroyo Seco for 10 years. “I teach a class of enthusiastic fourth and fifth graders,” according to Wilson. ”The parents at my school are very supportive of efforts to use technology in the classroom. The students include many advanced learners who enjoy working at their own pace on the computers. All of these students are moving into the Common Core 21st Century Standards, which includes integrated technology in the classroom.”

The Gold Award is given by the California Teachers Association.
