Audition for Sunol Repertory Theatre's 2015 season

Auditions are coming soon for Sunol Repertory Theatre's 34th season

Sunol Repertory Theatre is gearing up for its 34th season. The public is invited to open auditions for “How the Other Half Dies,” a murder-mystery parody. Those who would like to get involved behind the scenes are invited as well. Auditions will include reading from the script, and will be held:

7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2
Sunol Glen Auditorium
11601 Main St., Sunol, CA 94586

“How the Other Half Dies” is a fast-paced murder-mystery parody. In a desperate attempt to become a member of Harriet Hammer’s posh country club, Sybil Chasteen invites Ms. Hammer to a formal dinner party on the same day that she discovers a dead body in the trunk of her new car. While Sybil waits impatiently for the authorities, the corpse, nicknamed Mr. X, sits propped up on her sofa as the list of murder suspects grows. The police, distracted by a few other cases, finally arrive only to find Sybil’s life spiraling recklessly out of control in this door-slamming, phone ringing, ridiculously fun play that includes backstage rim shots, witty one-liners and a backyard wedding.

Performances will be at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays from March 6 to 28. Rehearsals begin Jan. 6.
