BART Expansion To Livermore Rejected
Speakers for and against the extension spoke during the emotional meeting in Livermore Thursday night.

LIVERMORE, CA — During a board meeting Thursday night, the BART Board of Directors voted 5-2 against expanding the BART line to Livermore, according to media reports. The blue line currently ends in Dublin.
The line would have extended from the Dublin/Pleasanton station to Interstate 580 at Isabel Avenue in Livermore. Speakers for and against the extension spoke for hours during the emotional meeting. The Tri-Valley San Joaquin Valley Regional Rail Authority will take over expansion plans on June 30. Read the full story here.
