Great Blue Heron At Holdener Park: Livermore Photo Of The Day
Glenn Stewart snapped this gorgeous photo of a great blue heron walking through the grass between storms.
LIVERMORE, CA — The winter rains have brought about a flowering of both flora and fauna. Glenn Stewart snapped this photo of a Great Blue Heron wading through the grass at Holdener Park back in March.
The great blue heron is found in wetlands throughout the Americas, and have been seen everywhere from Alaska to South America. They usually stay close to wetlands, and nest in trees and bushes close to the water's edge.
