Bold Thief Steals Cash Register From Livermore Comic Books Store
There was no real noise during the broad-daylight crime, but the cash register and a couple hundred dollars inside it were swiped.
LIVERMORE, CA — Some aficionados of Fantasy Books and Games in Livermore are coming together in support of the small comic book store after a brazen theft there last week.
A suspect(s) entered the store around 12:45 p.m. Thursday, and while the clerk was distracted the thief made off with the cash register.
There was no real noise during the crime, but the cash register and a couple hundred dollars inside it were swiped, according to Livermore Police Department Sgt. Steven Goard.

The theft has garnered attention on social media, with some fans sharing their thoughts.
"The same man is always there, doing what he loves, selling comics and collectibles to people with the same passion," one person wrote. "It made me so sad."

Another wrote, "Love that the community is coming together to support Bob at Fantasy Books and Comics ... ."
No arrests have been made at press time, although police continue to investigate.
