Boy Scouts of America Honor Eagle Scout Kyle Moore
Troop 924 to Honor 4 Eagle Scouts in April

Kyle Moore has passed the Board of Review and has earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He resides in Livermore, California and his parents are Ken & Anna Marie Moore. His Eagle Court of Honor will be held April 18, 2020.
Kyle is a member of Troop 924, sponsored by American Legion Post 237, where he was Patrol Leader for two years and achieving the distinction of Honor Patrol. He was a Counselor in Training for Camp Royaneh during the summer of 2018. He has participated in the annual “Scouting for Food” drive for the past eleven years, as well as school food drives and collecting canned items in his neighborhood for other food banks and shelters.
Kyle is a senior at Granada High School, where he was on the swim team. He has been an Alter Server at St. Michael Church since the 5th grade. He worked at Casa Del Pomba for Deacon Dave Rezendez from 2017 to 2019, including working on his annual Christmas light displays which are the highlight of the Christmas season for many local residents.

Kyle’s interests include Photography, computers, swimming and snow skiing. He has applied to several universities and plans on a bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security and Computers beginning in the fall. His passion is in the computer field and in interested in exploring this fast paced and quickly changing and challenging field. He would love to help solve crimes and help people who are victims of cyber crimes.
Kyle’s Eagle Scout project entailed designing and constructing two 12-foot ADA planter boxes at Granada High School. He raised $1,200 to fund the materials to complete the project and led a team of 20 boys. The extra money was donated to the high school for future garden projects. Accomplishing his Eagle Scout rank was one of the many highlights of his senior year at Granada High School, where he will graduate with the class of 2020.

To earn the rank of Eagle Scout, a Scout must be active in their troop, demonstrate leadership, earn 21 merit badges including the areas of citizenship, camping, communications, cooking and lifesaving or emergency preparedness as well as demonstrate that they live by the principles of the Scout Oath and the Scout Law.
They must also plan, develop and provide leadership in a service project benefiting a religious institution, school or community group.
