BREAKING: Emergency Crews Search for Drowning Victim at Lake Del Valle
Occupants of a boat on the lake were forced to jump overboard and swim to safety Friday night. One of the boaters never made it to shore.

A 32-year-old San Francisco man is presumed to have drowned in Lake Del Valle on Friday night, an East Bay Regional Parks spokeswomen said.
“At about 7 p.m. a privately owned boat began taking on water,” Carolyn Jones said. “The occupants jumped out of the boat and swam to the shore. One person did not make it.”
According to Jones, emergency crews searched for the man until about 1 a.m. and resumed searching at daybreak. Jones said the man was not wearing a life jacket.

Officials have not yet released the man’s identity.
