BREAKING: Livermore Police Investigating Fatal Shooting Near CVS Pharmacy
One person is dead and one person has been taken to the hospital.
Livermore Police officials are investigating a fatal shooting in the CVS Pharmacy parking lot located at 1500 First Street, police officials said.
According to police, the shooting was reported at 6:06 p.m. Officers who responded to the scene found two people who had been shot inside a car in the lot. The driver, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
One witness says she was nearby in the lot when she heard multiple gunshots and a woman screaming for someone to call police.

“The front passenger suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to an area hospital,” police said. “The front passenger has not been identified at this time and the passenger’s condition is unknown.”
Police say the suspect vehicle fled out the parking lot onto Railroad Avenue.

“The California Highway Patrol located the vehicle on I-580 and initiated a pursuit,” police said. “CHP lost the vehicle in Oakland.”
Witnesses describe the driver as a black male, with a tall, thin build. He was wearing a gray beanie cap. Police say this suspect was armed with a black long gun. No description was available for the second suspect.
Police are seeking a black 2006 BMW 325i, with the license plate 5PLR682. The car reportedly has red racing stripes on the hood.
“The Livermore Police Department needs the community’s assistance in locating the vehicle,” police said. “If anyone sees the vehicle, please call 9-1-1 and consider the occupants armed and dangerous.”
