Police Seek Third Driver Possibly Involved in Fatal Livermore Crash
The collision closed a section of First Street for several hours.
LIVERMORE, CA — Police officials are seeking a third driver who may have been involved in a fatal collision that closed a Livermore road Monday morning. Police say a car traveling northbound on First Street near Las Positas Road crossed over the raised center median and struck a car traveling southbound head-on.
“The driver of the southbound vehicle was critically injured,” police said in a statement. “Both drivers were transported to the hospital where the driver of the southbound vehicle later died as a result of injuries sustained in the collision.”
The names of the drivers have not been released. The collision caused traffic delays and closed a section of First Street in both directions for several hours. The road has since reopened.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and believe a third car may have been involved in the crash. Anyone with information about the collision is asked to call the LPD Traffic Unit at 925-371-4847.
