Car Crashes Into Livermore Apartment Building, Light Pole, Trees

A driver lost control of his car on North Murrieta Boulevard Tuesday night and was ejected onto the road, witnesses say.

LIVERMORE, CA — A driver was seriously injured in Livermore Tuesday night after his car hit a light pole, several trees, and an apartment complex on North Murrieta Boulevard.

Witnesses told the Livermore Police Department that at around 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, a car left the roadway near the 100 block of North Murrieta, then collided with the curb, and eventually an apartment complex. The pole was taken out and crashed into the apartment building, a Livermore police spokesperson said.

The driver was ejected from his car onto the street, Livermore police told Patch. Police were dispatched, and transported the driver to Eden Medical Center with serious injuries. Police say it is unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash because the driver was immediately transported to the hospital, and the crash remains under investigation. No arrests have been made as of Wednesday morning.
