Car Fire Blamed For Brush Fire At Altamont Pass

Fire crews contained the blaze at a quarter acre.

ALTAMONT PASS, CA — ‪A blaze that broke out Sunday morning along the I-580 near Flynn Road North at Altamont Pass was due to a car fire.

Crews from the Alameda County Fire Department, Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department, Cal fire, and Camp Parks responded to the blaze at approximately 8:30 a.m. They contained the brush fire at a quarter acre.

The vehicle was destroyed in the blaze but no injuries were immediately reported.
