Chamber Gala Inducts New Board of Directors
The Livermoe Chamber of Commerce held its 85th annual board installation and gala event. Alameda County Supervisor Scott Haggerty swore in the 24 board members.
The held its annual board installation event on Saturday, Feb. 12. More than 210 people attended the gala event held at the Robert Livermore Community Center.
The chamber wanted to put on a party instead of a ceremony, and it included delicious food, specialty cocktails and casinos for prizes.
"Everyone was having such a good time, that they almost had to be kicked out when it was over at 10 p.m.," said Dale Eldridge Kaye, President and CEO of the chamber.

Alameda County Supervisor Scott Haggerty swore in the officers and the rest of the board. The new Chamber officers are:
- Board Chair: Christine Wente of Wente Vineyards
- Vice Chair: Tim Tikalsky of RINA Accountancy Corp.
- Secretary: Crystal Lu of Sybase
- Treasurer: Jay Davis of the Fannie and John Hertz Foundation
Checkers Catering and Special Events continued their tradition of serving delicious food with a beautiful display of a variety of appetizers, seafood, a carving station and desserts.

Jody Amos of Amos Productions completed the transformation of the community center into the "Pulse Lounge," providing music and lighting that made the stage look like the Oscars.
The Livermore Chamber of Commerce is working on several new innovative programs for the year to attract new business to the area, and the board of directors has several committees that are working to promote "Innovation" as their theme for the year.
Christine Wente, the new board chair, spoke about how the chamber will be implementing these programs that include educational programs for the area's schools, as well as working to attract new, innovative businesses to the area.
