City of Livermore Announces Call for Artists for Art in Schools Program

Applications must be received by March 4, 2016 at 5:00 p.m.

LIVERMORE, CA: The City of Livermore is pleased to announce a Request for Proposals/Call for Artists for its Art in Schools Program. The City of Livermore Commission for the Arts invites qualified artists and art groups to submit a proposal for presentation of an art enrichment program to elementary school children. Proposals may include, but are not limited to, theater, dance or music. Past presentations have included live theater for kindergarten to third grade students and a hip hop dance workshop for fourth and fifth graders.

The Call for Artists is open to all artists residing in Northern California. Completion of art enrichment programs in a public elementary school setting is not a requirement; however, past experience will be considered when reviewing submissions.

The call covers presentations during the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 school years. The selected artist(s) will be responsible for scheduling one presentation per year with the designated school, taking holidays and school testing periods into consideration. The contract(s) may be extended for additional two-year periods after review of the presentations.
