Commercial Structure Fire Breaks Out In Livermore

LIVERMORE, CA — The Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department extinguished a fire at a commercial building on Wednesday night.

Crews arrived at around 8:45 pm Wednesday and found black smoke coming from the rear of a building at 235 East Airway, according to LPFD Battalion Chief Kurtis Dickey. Crews forced entry into the building and found a warehouse full of thick smoke, Dickey said.

Attack crews quickly located and extinguished the fire. An LPFD truck cut vertical ventilation holes in the roof to let out smoke and heat.

Crews from LPFD and Alameda County Fire searched the building and did not find any victims. No injuries were reported, and Dickey said no foul play is suspected. The fire remains under investigation.
