Community Invited to Dedication Ceremony for Art Sculpture in Downtown Livermore
CREAM ice cream shop will provide a sweet treat for those attending the event.

Announcement submitted by City of Livermore:
Residents and their families are invited to join Mayor John Marchand at a brief dedication ceremony honoring Livermore’s newest sculpture installation, Sunday with Jessie. The event will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. and will take place at 2375 Railroad Avenue near the CREAM ice cream shop, where the sculpture will soon be installed. CREAM will provide a sweet treat for those attending.
Sunday with Jessie depicts a life-size bronze boy happily enjoying his ice cream cone with his adoring dog. This charming piece was created by sculptor Susan Geissler and was generously donated by Gary and Nancy Harrington of Pleasanton, CA. The sculpture’s true-to-life size, expressive theme, and accessible location will give children the opportunity to interact with art, which represents their worldview and experience.
