Construction Worker Dies In Livermore After 'Structural Collapse'

The accident happened at a construction site at a home on Avalon Way.

LIVERMORE, CA — A construction worker died in Livermore April 21 when part of a construction site collapsed, the Livermore Pleasanton Fire Department said.

Crews responded to a home on Avalon Way in Livermore around 1 p.m.

“Upon arrival, it was a fatality due to a workplace accident injury related to a structural collapse,” Dan Moyles with LPFD said.

It was determined that the worker was the owner of the construction company, Moyles said. Moyles did not confirm what it was that collapsed.

“This was a learning call for myself for 25 years and the lieutenant of 30. We called OSHA right away,” Moyles said.

A coroner was at the site, Moyles said.

Patch was unable to reach OSHA.

The name of the construction worker and any additional information has not been released.
