Deacon Dave's Light Display Opens Friday Night

Over 610,000 twinkling lights will open Friday night after a procession down Hillcrest Avenue.

LIVERMORE, CA — The doves are back in town. Deacon Dave’s Light Display, also known as “Casa del Pomba” (House of the Doves in Portuguese), is reopening Friday evening.

Each December, the Hillcrest Avenue property of Dave “Deacon Dave” Rezendes transforms into a magical village illuminated by more than 610,000 lights. As visitors take in the twinkling lights of every color, they can also enjoy the peaceful cooing of nearby doves, who have won over 380 awards at county fairs. They can also walk across the Proposal Bridge, where more than 72 marriage proposals have taken place over 38 years.

Deacon Dave’s will open for the season Friday night at 6:30 p.m. with its annual Christmas Procession down Hillcrest Avenue in Livermore. After the procession arrives at 352 Hillcrest Avenue, the theme of this year’s display will be announced, and the gates will be blessed, and then the enchanting village will open.
