Donate Blood In Alameda County, Get Amazon Gift Card
Some lucky winners will get a $1,000 gift card, the American Red Cross said.
ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — The American Red Cross is calling for blood donors of all types this fall as it looks to serve cancer patients undergoing surgery and chemotherapy.
Cancer patients use nearly a quarter of the U.S. blood supply, according to the organization.
To sweeten the deal, the Red Cross is offering $5 Amazon gift cards to all who donate from Oct. 15 to Nov. 11, thanks to Suburban Propane. Five lucky donors will get a $1,000 gift card.

“As a cancer patient, I had to have blood transfusions several times when the chemotherapy treatments have destroyed my immune system,” said patient Diane Doehrman. “I am so very thankful for the donations from others. It can truly save a life.”
