LIVERMORE, CA — A touching roadside memorial of flowers and rocks appeared Thursday near the scene of a deadly car crash that left at least one teenage girl dead and another seriously injured late Wednesday night. The driver, Livermore resident Lauren Davis, 26, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of second-degree murder and felony DUI causing injury/death, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The tragic collision was reported at 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday along Stanley Boulevard just west of Isabel Avenue near Livermore, CHP officials said. The grisly wreck involved a blue Kia Sorento carrying five people.

CHP officials said the car left the road for unknown reasons, overturned several times and came to rest on the first set of railroad tracks. One occupant, a 16-year-old girl who was partially ejected, was pronounced dead at the scene, and another passenger who was seated in the back of the SUV, was fully ejected, according to CHP.
