East Avenue Closed Due To Accident: LPD
A portion of westbound East Avenue is closed due to an accident, just a day after a car knocked over a tree on North Murieta Boulevard.
LIVERMORE, CA — East Avenue is closed in the westbound direction between Charlotte Way and Mitra Street due to a traffic collision, Livermore police said Friday at 3:53 p.m.
A photo posted to the department’s social media shows a large SUV off the side of the road, and another sedan near a tree. It appears that the sedan hit the SUV from the side.
The public is asked to avoid the area.

On Thursday, a car traveling northbound on North Murieta Boulevard just south of Olivina Avenue veered off the road and struck a tree in the center median, according to the Livermore Police Department. The tree fell and blocked all lanes of southbound traffic for about a half hour. The driver was transported to a nearby hospital for injuries, according to spokesperson Azenith Smith.
