Emerging Artists Opening Reception at the Bankhead Theater

An Opening Reception will be held Wednesday at the Bankhead Theater Lobby.

The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District ‘s Emerging Artists exhibit of visual art features works by students from the four District High schools:

• Granada High School
• Livermore High School
• Del Valle Continuation School
• Vineyard Alternative High School

Laura Thournir, Art Teacher at Granada High School, said, ”It’s a different kind of gratification to have your art viewed by people who might not even know you, it’s a wonderful thing, that sense of gratification and pride.”

The exhibition will feature work in a variety of media including acrylic, pencil, charcoal, watercolor and photography.

The exhibit will be open until June 2 and will be on view for patrons who attend any performance or event at the Bankhead Theater. The exhibit will be open to the public at the opening reception on Wednesday May 13.
