'Extreme' Heat, Fire Risk Shuts Down 2 Livermore Parks
Temperatures surpassed 90 degrees Tuesday in Livermore. The parks were slated to reopen Wednesday.
LIVERMORE, CA — High temperatures forced the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District to close two parks Tuesday afternoon.
Sycamore Grove and Holdener parks were scheduled to reopen Wednesday.
"Despite the little bit of rain that some parts of Livermore had this morning," LARPD wrote, "the heat is extreme."

Fire danger was considered extreme.
