Fatal Crash on Eastbound I-580 Send Car into Ditch

The California Highway Patrol responded last night to a fatal traffic collision in eastern Alameda County on Interstate 580 west of Interstate Highway 205.

The collision, which sent one vehicle into a ditch off the roadway, was reported at 6:50 p.m. on eastbound Interstate Highway 580, according to the CHP. The collision blocked the left lane of 580 west of 205, and drivers in the area were delayed.
