LIVERMORE, CA — A Friday morning fire caused major damage to a mobile home in the 820 block of Sundial Circle, according to the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department. The two residents were not home at the time and are staying with family.

The fire was called in around 9 a.m., according to the fire department. Firefighters searched the non-sprinklered home, found no occupants and stopped the fire from spreading to the other mobile homes 20 feet from either side of the home on fire.

The construction of mobile homes, which can contain a lot of plastics, can be conducive to quick fire spread.
