Cats, Dog Rescued From Livermore House Fire
Officials said the blaze was caused by a cooking element within the kitchen.

LIVERMORE, CA — Two cats and a dog were rescued from a Livermore house fire this morning, Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department officials said. The blaze was reported in the 5400 block of Lenore Avenue at 9:15 a.m. When fire crews arrived, smoke was coming from the home and they had to force their way inside.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames and rescued the family pets. The residence was unoccupied at the time the fire started. Officials said the blaze was caused by a cooking element within the kitchen. No one was injured during the fire.
